Now here is a question I get asked every day. Will the irrigation systems still run when it’s raining? No, it shouldn’t run. Most new jobs will have a rain sensor installed because that is the New Jersey code. This will shut you off, typically with a quick response feature after a short period of rain and it will probably stay off, depending on how sensitive you’ve set the rain sensor to be based on the accumulation of water in the sensor. There are also other green features available that could take into effect solar radiation, wind and even the upcoming weather for the next few days. Give us a call and we’ll help you with these new items.
